Yeah. If you want "the best pic quality you can get" and need "some great archival footage to help tell a story" it would seem a worthwhile thing to go the slight extra trouble of re-syncing the footage.

Or, you could go PC and use VEGAS, which will load any MPEG2 file with no hassle.
